Changes for Winter and Flu season
As is usual we will now be devoting more or our appointment slots for patients with colds, flu, chest infections, tonsillitis, sinusitis, and all of the other infections that spring up during winter.
This means that there will be a slightly longer wait for routine appointments. At present we are running at just over a 1-week waiting time for a routine appointment. This puts us significantly ahead of the national average, and indeed the local average waiting times. We expect the wait for a routine appointment will become slightly longer during the winter season, before returning to normal once the flu season is over.
Most of you will at some stage over the winter season need to avail of these extra appointment slots for winter illnesses, so we appreciate your understanding as we try to plan ahead.
